Choirs

There are three choir groups for our secondary music program.

Junior High Choir

This choir is comprised of all 7th and 8th grade students and gives a foundation for music reading and singing correctly. Our Junior High Choir performs during the Christmas  and spring concerts and also competes each spring at the IACS Academic and Fine Arts Tournament.

High School Choir

The High School Choir is comprised of all freshmen through senior boys and girls and focuses on developing musicianship, music theory, music history, and singing skills. The High School High Choir performs during the Christmas  and spring concerts and also competes each spring at the IACS Academic and Fine Arts Tournament.

Torchmen Chorale

The Chorale is an auditioned choir comprised of freshman through senior men and women with a well-developed vocal production, a high level of sight reading skill, and an outstanding academic record. Music will include mixed choir literature as well as women’s and men’s selections. Membership requires faithful attendance as well as demonstrated leadership outside of the classroom.
