[hr] Junior and Senior high students may participate in several areas of athletic competition. South Side Baptist School is a member of the Illinois Association of Christian Schools' athletic conference, and our students enjoy spirited competition with other Christian schools in the association. We also compete regularly in invitational tournaments sponsored by Christian schools. One of the many benefits of the IACS sports program is participation in IACS athletics. This participation provides competition among Christian schools of like faith in a variety of sports. The goal of the IACS athletic program is to develop character and leadership in the lives of young men and women, so that they will take the lessons learned and use them in their lives for the Lord. All rules governing participation in IACS contests are determined by the IACS. Unless specified otherwise in the IACS Athletic Handbook, all rules and policies governing participation in IACS contests will be the same as those outlined in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Handbook. Winning Tradition

Our athletic program is very competitive. Our volleyball program has won numerous state championships and tournaments and is well-respected throughout the state. The basketball program has grown and won the state championship for 2012. Our soccer program is growing and looking to win at various competitive tournaments. We are excited that many of our students have gone on to play in college and have represented our school well. [hr]
